I got an e-mail back from the shop already, and they gave me a list of options of what they’ll do. They insist the warping comes from the shipping, but I’m a little hesitant to buy that, all things considered. But the good news is that they offered a full refund or a new helmet. Since the thing is kinda huge on me anyhow, I’m just going to send it back and get a refund.

I’ll probably wait to get another helmet, or maybe task myself to build it with my downtime at the university.
